FRESH BURST RUN
This race was created in 1995 by Anne Knight-Hess, a
running enthusiast, and has grown in popularity over
the years. She felt it was a good fit to combine
the love of running with charitable contributions to
the community. As a result of the generous support
of local companies, we are proud to say that 100 %
of the registration fees collected are donated to a
local charity.
Some of
the most recent beneficiaries have been:
2007 & 2008:
PA Breast Cancer Coalition
2006:
Her Hearts Wish & Make-A-Wish Foundation of the
Susquehanna Valley
2004 & 2005:
Milagro House
2003: S.
June Smith Foundation
This year, 2008, a donation will again be made to
the PA Breast Cancer Coalition (PBCC). They
represent, support, and serve breast cancer
survivors and their families in Pennsylvania through
educational programming, legislative advocacy and
unique outreach initiatives. The PBCC is a statewide
non-profit organization that creates the hope of a
brighter tomorrow by providing action and
information to women with breast cancer today. |
